The Douglas Brothers Portrait chosen For Marquez Tribute

Spanish newspaper El Pais selected The Douglas Brothers portrait of Gabriel Garcia Marquez for the cover of their photo tribute to the celebrated author.

“It’s sad,” noted Andrew Douglas of the writer’s death following a long illness. “We are both extremely proud to have met him.”

“It’s a direct, honest portrait” said El Pais. “It encapsulates Marquez perfectly.”

The Douglas Brothers book and exhibition

The Douglas Brothers are currently working on a book about their pioneering photography. Due out at the end of 2015 the publication will co-incide with an exhibition which go on tour in London, Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles.

New film for Abigail Ozora Simpson

A short film about Abigail Ozora Simpson – entitled “Room For Rebellion” – was shot in Abi’s studio, a former ice cream factory, and at the nearby lido. Interview is by BBC stalwart Brian Daubney and the film is directed by Adam Wells from GoGotNeed. Abigail is working towards a show at Art Basel in Miami in December.
